Potential Failure in Detecting Certain Alarms
SUMMARY
AVEVA has identified an issue with System Platform 2023 and System Platform 2023R2.
Under certain circumstances, Limit, ROC, and Deviation alarms on UserDefined and Area objects may not function correctly at runtime. This issue occurs within the engineering environment and can result in the alarms not getting registered with the AppEngine at runtime.
AVEVA is releasing hotfixes for each of the affected versions. Details can be found in the table below. AVEVA strongly recommends that users install the appropriate hotfix as soon as possible.

- Undeploy any instances that are derived at any level from the returned list of templates.
- Once undeployed, re-deploy the instances to resolve the issue for runtime.
NOTE:
* The detect and redeployment of the instances affected by this issue only needs to be done 1 time after installing the hotfix. After following the steps to resolve the issue, running the detection script will still return the same results.
