Unable to Deploy Objects or Open/Edit any Objects in the IDE
SUMMARY
This tech note addresses the following issues which can occur in Application Server:
- Unable to deploy objects in a Galaxy
- Unable to open Object Editor on any object in a Galaxy
These issues can occur when the NTSERVICE\aaPIM user account does not belong to the Administrators user group. This account is required in order to perform functions such as deploying platforms and objects as well as opening the Object Editor in the Application Server. Normally this account is created when the AVEVA software is installed, but a blocked or corrupted install can prevent that from happening.
This Tech Note details the procedure to add the NT SERVICE\aaPIM account to the local Administrators group on a computer.
