Windows Missing in WindowMaker Project View

SUMMARY

When opening an application in InTouch WindowMaker, some windows do not appear in the Project view panel.  The windows still appear in the Open Window popup.

CAUSE

Prior to the 2023 version, the OrgHeir.xml file is created when opening WindowMaker and is updated when adding a new window, script, folder, etc. This file will maintain the folder hierarchy of Classic and Project views in WindowMaker.

Starting with InTouch 2023, the UI/UX has been improved, and the OrgHeir.xml file has been replaced with the WindowInfo.json file.

Issues with this file can cause the windows to not appear in the appropriate WindowMaker views.

PROCEDURE

Versions prior to 2023:

1. Open the application folder.
2. Rename the OrgHier.xml file.
3. Restart WindowMaker.

Versions 2023 and newer:

1. Open the application folder.
2. Rename the WindowInfo.json file.
3. Restart WindowMaker.

When WindowMaker is restarted, it will re-create the appropriate file and all windows should be visible.
