Auto-Build support for ABCIP Operations Integration Server

The Auto-Build capability helps improve engineering efficiency by reading the structure of a PLC program and automatically building the Application Server templates and instances based on the PLC schema. This can result in faster time-to-runtime and better integration between Wonderware System Platform and PLCs.

Operations Integration Gateway

The Operations Integration (OI) Gateway acts as a communications protocol converter. It can be used to link clients and data sources that communicate using different protocols. The Wonderware OI Gateway has been enhanced to act as an OPC UA Client; this enables stand-alone support for InTouch, Historian, InBatch or any OPC/DDE/SuiteLink compliant software that requires connectivity to OPC-UA Servers. Wonderware OI Gateway also supports MQTT protocol, making device configuration and integration and interoperability easier than ever.

Site-based licensing for centralized license management

The Operations Integration (OI) Core supports activation-based licensing as well as the traditional licensing. Our OI Servers support site-based licensing, which allows you to manage products at a centralized location rather than managing each product individually.

Small application support

Operations Integration (OI) Core comes with a free 32-tag tiny application support to facilitate greater adoption and integration of IoT applications for edge devices. This enables integration with small applications in edge sites and the ability to connect to Wonderware Online or Wonderware System Platform without requiring an OI Server license.

Support multiple versions

Wonderware Operations Integration (OI) Servers provide single node side-by-side upgrade capability, which allows users to continue running the previous driver version while adding a new version of the same driver protocol. Beckhoff - TWINCAT

The OI Server uses the ADS Library for communication and should support any TCP/IP Ethernet Beckhoff device compatible with the ADS Library version you install. The following devices were used in the conformance tests:

  • ADS Library: TC1000:TC3 Beckhoff TwinCAT PLC/IO on Windows XP/7/8 CX1000 and CX1020 with Windows Embedded Compact 5.0 and 6.0 PLC BC9000, BX9000 and CP66xx with Windows Embedded Compact 5.0 for ARMV4i processor.
  • The TC1000:TC3 Library should also be compatible with CX1010, CX1020, CX1030, CX2000, CX5000, CX5100, CX8000, and CX9000 and any other device hosting the TwinCAT runtime 2 and 3.
