Expanded platform approach
Before we look at the new capabilities, I wanted to provide a quick update on AVEVA Insight, especially given the last 2 years have seen a strategic evolution of the platform and its capabilities. While it may have started its life as an online historian, it is now so much more.
Combining AVEVA’s leading operations management and asset performance technologies into one easy-to-use cloud-based solution, AVEVA Insight simplifies the complex. It delivers actionable information and Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities to help your teams improve asset reliability and operational performance.
AVEVA Insight provides information when and where you need it, so you and your teams, can better manage your assets and improve operational performance.
What does this mean for you? It means you make better and faster decisions so you can reduce downtime by up to 30% and reduce operating costs by up to 30%. It means you can collaborate remotely and focus on getting your job done, right.
And with a growing range of fully integrated add-ons, Insight now provides the capabilities that you need to solve your business problems. Whether that’s increasing production line utilization and OEE; optimizing operations at scale with the power of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning in the cloud; or even sharing best practices across the organization with pre-packaged libraries that help free up resources and address inconsistent or missing data, Insight delivers what you need.
Perhaps best of all, Insight is a secure, cloud software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution, meaning that it is kept continually up to date by AVEVA. You can take advantage of all the new capabilities immediately, with no additional effort or IT burden. And with a service level agreement of >99.9% uptime, your system is available when and where you need it.
So, let’s look at what’s new this month.
Publishing on-premises industrial graphics
Make your industrial graphics symbols available in the cloud securely anywhere, anytime with new publishing capabilities from on-prem systems to AVEVA Insight.
This new functionality enables you to publish the graphics symbols you have in your on-premises systems such as AVEVA InTouch and AVEVA System Platform into AVEVA Connect for use in your Insight solution. With one set of graphics across your entire operations landscape, you can drive consistency across the user experience, and empower your people to quickly understand system status and respond with more efficient, effective decisions.
Stay tuned for the next blog when we explain this in more detail.
New AI and machine learning capabilities
AVEVA is redefining the predictive analytics market through the intersection of AI and human insights. Combining intelligence with the digital twin enables customers to maximize profitability and drive risk out of their operations, while reducing downtime up to 25 per cent and maintenance costs by 30 per cent.
Imagine if you could have advanced warning and automated diagnosis of quality, production, downtime or asset reliability problems.
Well now you can! This month, we are proud to announce the release of new advanced analytics capabilities that address six common industry use cases: quality, throughput, energy efficiency, uptime, reliability and asset life.
Look out for a blog later in the week when we explore the new advanced analytics options in more detail.
EAM Interface
Continuously improving in the areas of control, safety and maintenance, AVEVA extends its ability to address asset condition management needs with the addition of this new interface capability allowing customers to seamlessly connect operations and enterprise asset management (EAM) systems. The initial version supports AVEVATM EAM, with work to support SAP ongoing.
The EAM interface provides customers the ability to raise automated or manual work requests in their EAM system, allowing them to close the loop on their asset management activities.
Leveraging AVEVATM Edge management, the EAM interface allows users to quickly provision, deploy and manage an edge device that supports secure connectivity between the on-premises EAM system and Insight in the cloud.
