Description

The AVEVA™ Manufacturing Execution System Core training course is an accelerated 5-day, instructor-led class designed to provide a fundamental understanding of the features and functionalities released with the Manufacturing Execution System software.

The course covers the components and capabilities of the software, as well as topics for configuring and defining an operations model, products, and production capabilities. Topics are provided for implementing production execution, data collection, reporting of traceability and genealogy information, as well as topics for configuring and defining equipment model, reporting of equipment utilization, and analyzing data for availability, quality, performance, and OEE. Topics are also provided for implementing production execution, data collection, and integration between Manufacturing Execution System and System Platform.

Hands-on labs are provided to reinforce the knowledge necessary to use the Manufacturing Execution System software.

Objectives

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Describe Manufacturing Execution System software and its components
  • Implement security for the Manufacturing Execution System software
  • Create a production and execution model, which addresses bills of materials, operations, and inventory
  • Create plant equipment in the Manufacturing Execution System database
  • Describe production capabilities to track production data in a production environment
  • Create and execute work orders that enforce production rules
  • Implement bills of materials in production processes
  • Describe production genealogy tracking
  • Describe performance capabilities to track performance data in a production environment
  • Describe entity utilization states, reason codes, and production rates
  • Describe the performance data tracking for production lines
  • Describe the application objects provided with Manufacturing Execution System

Prerequisites

Knowledge of the following tools, features, and technologies is required:

  • Industrial automation software concepts
  • It is highly recommended that students have completed the AVEVA Application Server training or have a strong familiarity with the Application Server software product.

Attendee Cancellation Policy

If your plans change and you cannot attend as scheduled, be sure to notify us as soon as possible. Tuition charges are refunded ONLY if cancellation notice is received by Industrial Software Solutions at least two weeks prior to the first day of class. If cancellation is made less than two weeks before the date of the class, a service charge of 50% of the tuition will be assessed. Those failing to attend the class without cancellation notice prior to the course, will be liable for the full tuition.
