Account Manager (Full-time Sales Role)

We’re planning to hire someone who will be based from the ISS headquarters here in Bothell, WA, but if you are an excellent fit we can be flexible about working remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage customers using a “solutions-oriented” approach that uses consultative sales techniques to clearly express the value proposition and benefits of our software, and use this knowledge to help increase the value and adoption of these solutions by our customers.
  • Identify, qualify and close sales opportunities to include new customers and add-on sales to existing customers.
  • Must be comfortable selling technical software solutions to various business groups within an organization including; finance, sales and distribution, IT, C-level, plant engineers, purchasing, etc.
  • Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of products and technologies, competitors, industry trends.
  • Work with all Regional Sales Teams (RST’s) and company managers across all industry verticals to find opportunities for all assigned products/solutions.
  • Timely follow-up on web-generated leads for all assigned product/solution portfolios.
  • Participate in customer seminars, exhibitions, presentations and other customer events as assigned or required.
  • Learn, adopt and regularly utilize CRM (SalesForce) to ensure sales forecast and pipeline data quality and accuracy.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or technical certificate/diploma in sales/marketing and/or industrial technology highly preferred.
  • In lieu of obtained degree, 5 years of progressive verified sales success, as well as related experience in one or more of the following market verticals: water & wastewater, food & beverage, oil & gas, mining & metals, pulp & paper, power generation & distribution, chemicals, life sciences.
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial, take-charge style, Team Selling experience, with solid track record of achieving/exceeding quota within a given territory, or with assigned products.
  • Excellent communication skills (listening, presentation, written and verbal) to demonstrate understanding of customer’s need, articulate industrial automation software value positions, present a persuasive business case, and continuously convey a professional image.
  • Experienced in the use of CRM tools and sales methodologies.
  • Strong time management skills, with an ability to develop and implement effective systems for managing administrative tasks and tracking progress against appropriate activity goals.
  • Ability to work under pressure of quota and adapt to a changing environment.
  • Flexibility in work schedule when needed.
  • Must be available to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Knowledge of AVEVA, AUVESY, Ocean Data Systems, Software Toolbox and/or industry experience a plus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, operate a personal computer, visually inspect forms, conduct oral communication via telephone and in person, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
