Last revision: 7/25/2018
This is a patch release to update the MES Web Portal content of MES 2014 R3. This is to be applied on top of an existing MES 2014 R3 install and will update the MES Web Portal content only.
There is no change to the operating system, database management system, or product compatibility support with this patch.
The MES 2014 R3 Patch 01 release contains the following updates to the MES Web Portal:
Note: The enhancements delivered in this patch are not included in the MES 2017 release. Users should not upgrade their MES 2014 R3 Patch 01 system to MES 2017. Please wait for the MES 2017 R2 release, which will support upgrading this patch version.
This patch should only be installed on top of an existing MES 2014 R3 installation that has the MES Web Portal.
The patch install tool opens and displays the license agreement.
The patch list appears.
When the screen showing the patch name preceded by a green check mark appears, the install is complete.
The patch installs database scripts and updated Web Portal content. If the Web Portal is not installed, the patch will attempt to install it.
The install might fail if the MES Web Portal was not previously installed and the prerequisites have not been met.
The post-install Configurator application opens.
Note that even though the MES components mentioned in the following steps are shown as already being configured, you have to reconfigure them to complete the patch implementation.
You are prompted to restart the node now or later.
The reconfiguration of the MES Web Portal will deploy the updated Web Portal content. As part of this process, a copy of the existing Web Portal content will be stored in a Zip file in the MES Web Portal folder to save any customizations that might have been made to Web Portal. Those customizations will have to be reapplied to the active Web Portal content.
