· The DAServer Runtime Components has been updated to use MSXML6.0.
The DAServer Runtime Components support the following operating systems and system components:
· Microsoft Windows XP SP3 (32-bit) (Professional)
· Microsoft Windows Server 2003 SP2 (32-bit) (Standard and Enterprise)
· Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 (32-bit) (Standard and Enterprise)
· Microsoft Windows Vista SP2 (32-bit and 64-bit WoW) (Ultimate, Business, and Enterprise)
· Microsoft Windows 2008 SP2 (32-bit and 64-bit WoW) (Standard and Enterprise)
· Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 SP1 (64-bit WoW) (Standard and Enterprise)
· Microsoft Windows 7 SP1 (32-bit and 64-bit WoW) (Standard and Enterprise)
· Microsoft Windows 7 Embedded (32-bit)
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or later is recommended on the computer where the product is installed.
The following restrictions apply to Windows Vista and newer operating systems.
· DAServer Runtime Components 3.0 SP5 provides support for Windows operating system User Account Control (UAC)-enabled run-time operations without elevated privileges. For all configuration and installation operations, including those called during run-time operations, UAC must be disabled or privileges must be elevated to the required level.
· NetDDE is not supported.
· Local DDE is supported only when the DAServer is configured as "Not a Service" and is activated from its executable file or started from the InTouch HMI. Local DDE is not supported when the DAServer is activated in the ArchestrA System Management Console (SMC).
· A DDE client and an OPC client cannot communicate with a DAServer simultaneously. SuiteLink is the recommended communications protocol.
· Upgrade of Windows Operating System with Invensys products installed is not supported. Service Packs and Patches to the Windows Operating Systems are supported.
· Network Discovery and File and Printer Sharing on both nodes must be enabled when you access a DAServer remotely using the SMC.
· Visual C++ 9.0 SP1/10 SP1 run-time redistributable components (If this component is not detected on the computer, it automatically is installed)
· Computer with 2 gigahertz (GHz) or higher processor clock speed
· 1 gigabyte (GB) of RAM or higher (512 MB minimum supported, may limit performance and some features)
· 8 gigabytes (GB) of available hard disk space
· Super VGA (1024 x 768) or higher resolution video adapter and monitor
· CD-ROM or DVD drive
· Keyboard and mouse or compatible pointing device
Before installing the DAServer Runtime Components 3.0 SP5, it is strongly recommended that you exit all Wonderware programs including executable (.exe) files and services and archive all DAServer configurations. The configuration file is modified and cannot be used with earlier versions after the upgrade.
The following installation requirements are prerequisites for the DAServer Runtime Components 3.0 SP5 to work properly:
· Local administrator privileges are required to install.
·
The deployed DIObjects must be undeployed, but keep
the platform deployed before the installation of the DAServer Runtime
Components.
In case an IDE is not available to undeploy the DIObjects, you
can set the engine that runs the DIObjects offscan using the SMC before
installing the DAServer Runtime Components.
· If DAServers, DAServer Components such as the DAServer Manager, or DIObjects exist on multiple systems, the upgrade installation must be done on all the systems.
· If a DAServer is installed with selected components such as the DAServer Manager that is upgraded using the DAServer Runtime Components 3.0 SP5, and you want to add the other components such as DDE/SuiteLink PlugIn and/or DAServer on the same system, you must:
· Uninstall the DAServer Runtime Components 3.0 SP5
· Add the other components to the existing installation
· Re-install the DAServer Runtime Components 3.0 SP5

DAServer version information in the SMC is not displayed to the second user when the first user logs off and the second user logs on. As a workaround, change the default Group Policy Setting in the operating system. Please find more information in the below link: |
