About This Release

The Simulator Communication Driver provides simulated data for OPC Client and SuiteLink Client to exercise data connectivity. Specific details can be found in the Communication Drivers Pack Online Help in the SMC.

• Simulated data can be generated using the following algorithms:
  • Cosine
  • None (No Simulation)
  • Random
  • Random (normalized between 0 and 1)
  • Sawtooth
  • Sine
  • String
  • Toggle (On/Off)
  • Triangular
• Simulation algorithm can be specified on a per item basis
• Item Quality returned with each item value can be specified at hierarchy level
• Customizable Item syntax
• Process Variable Simulation
