The main system components are:

- Citect License Utility: A utility delivered with SAM that you run on computers where Citect software is installed, in order to make Citect license information "visible" to the Software Asset Manager. Refer to the Software Asset Manager User Guide for complete installation and usage details.
The Software Asset Manager application requires Administrator-level permissions to work.

Known Issues
The following issues have been identified for resolution in the next release:
- Detect operation may take long time on machines having many registry keys and slow networks.
Workaround:N/A
- If an Acquire download is terminated before completion, subsequent attempts to download an update on the same machine will appear to fail. The download dialog will display "Terminated" and the progress thumper will spin until the dialog is closed. Despite this, the file is actually downloaded and can be deployed.
Workaround:Close and reopen Software Asset Manager after the first terminated download.
- For authentication during a Connectivity check, no distinction is made between a domain account and a local account. Therefore, domain-account login "domain\username" is treated the same as local-account login "username" (Example: "mycompany\wwuser" versus local "wwuser"). As a result, the Connectivity check may succeed even though the account used to perform the check does not exist on the remote machine and does not have permissions to inventory the software and licenses on the machine.
Workaround: When configuring a Machine in SAM, ensure the credentials specified are properly formatted (with the domain or without the domain) and the user exists on the remote machine.
